I’m claiming credit for this one. On this post by John Cole, about how the Republican Presidential candidates want to prove there is no immoral act they wouldn’t do to stop a terrorist attack, I was the first to ask:
Would you have sex with a man if that would stop a terrorist attack?
Cole used the question for a subsequent post and Andrew Sullivan linked to it here. Then Bill Maher used the question on his show, Real Time (2nd question at the beginning of the clip).
It would have probably been too much to ask for a credit to Liberal Avenger or Miss Dynamite, but that’s cool. I’m glad the question has been asked in the (sort of) mainstream so more people can realize how much those neo-con nuts are ridiculous.

Current Republicans like Larry Craig have shown this would not be a problem. In fact might even be considered a job perk. I could see the witty campaign slogans now, “Giuliani: Putting his ass on the line for you.”

It’s a hilarious question, I only wish it had have been asked to one of the republican candidates rather than just tossed out as a joke.
Hopefully it’ll catch on and filter down to them somehow. Maybe Colbert will get ahold of it. :)
