I’m suing!

Oh, Transformers: Animated, why did you steal my Mecha-Ponytail?
(Of course, if I were to sue, I’d get sued for stealing Transformers sound effects and music for the Mecha Dynamite episode. :-p)

What a fucking rip-off. It is not a coincidence. The new Transformers “creators” are creative thieves. I’ve had Transformers ideas blatantly stolen by them as well. I guess it just proves how bad the new Hasbro people suck that they have to steal from fans.

That shit is more then coencidence!

on February 28th, 2008 at 1:45 PM

Hasbro Hired Todd Goldman to draw they liked his work so well that they gave him a second chance and this is what he dose… LOL

Hey… Whoa.
Yeah… that does… seem really similar.

It’s no coincidence. When your work is online it is exposed. More people are looking, listening, learning, and stealing than one might guess. And they come from every walk of life.

Puede tomarlo del lado bueno y considerarlo un homenaje. Pero el que roba no progresa.
You can take the bright side and consider it a tribute. But stealing is not progressing.

I think like John Waters said the best tribute is actually getting paid for your work (Nickelodeon stole ideas from his film Polyester for one of their Rugrat movies & he couldn’t sue because the copyright expired).

Kick their ass, Sirkowski!
This incarnation of the Transformers series sucks! It’s a shame you can’t sue them for sucking too.
Classic Transformers > This crap.

Mh, I dunno. “Animated” isn’t very good, but I don’t think G1 was very good either.
on March 3rd, 2008 at 3:00 AM
Say what you want about G1 Transformers, but it set the standard. G2 was pretty much a continuation, but began the rapid descent. Then came Beast Wars, and the shark jumping commenced. The franchise is now on par with Go-bots, because every re-make of transformers has sucked ever since they re-released G1 with all that extra CGI crap during the scene change wipes to try to make it more like Beast Wars. The movie is NO exception to that statement.
Seems Hasbro is following the trend of attempting (and failing) to market new toys to a new generation of uninterested kids who would rather play PS3 instead of hanging on to the sad, older bastards who will shell out
$200 for an Optimus Prime bust.
Random aside: Ever notice how many times TF and Spider-Man have been remade?
on March 3rd, 2008 at 3:13 AM
Actually I think Beast Wars was the only decent series that came out of this. There was an actual character devellopement. Of course, that might be because it was Canadian. X-)

It could very well have character development… it could be the most well written stuff ever, but what I am trying to say is that when optimus prime magically became a robotic ape instead of a red semi truck, it completely flies in the face of the original nature of the thing. A very quick and painless example is if I were to remake the “massively popular 80′s cartoon Miss Dynamite!”, only, I will unilaterally make Eva a black man, and Blackie will be an 8 foot tall singing fish. Oh, and did i mention it is live action, and all of the humor will be gone? Don’t worry though, it will have excellent character development!
Not the same, is it? Then why would I still call my vision Miss Dynamite??? Exactly. The thing that made Beast Wars “bad” was trying to relate it as a new vision of G1. That one thing in and of itself could have made the show better. It’s sort of like when a movie is billed as one thing, but turns out to be another… like Fight Club when it was “the biggest action movie of the year” or the release of Anaconnda when it was billed as a good film.

Miss Dynamite can be a gorilla, as long as it’s good. X-D

Optimus primal of beast wars, whas not optimus prime from the G1 serie.
hell the autobots and deciptions where shown in the later eps. primal even took in prime’s spark
of course then they had to f*ck up the awsome that whas beast wars and make that horrible show beast machines

How did they ever get that to air?
