Hosting CPU usage

My website was suspended today for “abuse of CPU usage”… uh, what the hell is this? Support un-suspended my website, but they didn’t explain to me what I did wrong. Is CPU usage related to bandwidth?? I’m gonna e-mail support and ask them to give me details, but I don’t know what the hell is going on. My website doesn’t have much traffic. Or do I have some plug-ins that are draining ressources??

Maybe they goofed?

It could be a script or a plug-in I’m running, either in my gallery or forum. But my traffic is still pretty low… so I don’t get it.

Are you using a cache plugin for wordpress? That helps… but they should help you pin it down. Could be you have some hack that’s taking extra resources, wordpress is vulnerable because it’s so popular but it could be the gallery script you use or something else…

it might of been something like what happened to another site i frequent and i know the owner he was running off free webs (not using a free package)but they had a calculation bug that made the bandwidth jump from about 500 mb to 40gb and the site was out for a full day until we got free webs to sort out the bug
