Well Kai its just one of those extremely stupid laws.
For example in the city I live in on Sunday it is illegal to walk around with an ice cream cone in your pocket.
Why? Fuck if I know but its funny as hell.
In Maryland(I think) if you are caught shoplifting they are legally allowed to make you swallow caster oil.
In Texas is tie illegal to own more than two(or three) dildos, any more an they can charge you for possession and intent to sell.(I kid you not, few years back a woman who was found to have six was actually charged)
The US has a lot of really stupid laws because they allow really stupid people(mostly Republican) to vote.
Why do they bother enforcing some of them under the context of “they are technically laws” while not enforcing others which while just as old still have semi valid legalities. I would ask if the system is just that retarded but I am afraid the answer would be yes.
“Those are old laws from old codes that were never updated.
For example, only a few years ago it was illegal to sell yellow margarine in Quebec. That was because the milk lobby didn’t want competition.”
as far i as i know it still is ill have to ask my girlfriend if it still is she knows more about Quebec than i do also there is a very low quota for dairy that can be imported to quebec i know people that actually go down to Vermont and smuggle ice cream in (surprisingly with the price of gas its still less expensive ) its also illegal to buy raw milk in quebec (unless you have a manufactures license)
the dairy lobby is is so stupidly over powered here (like oil and tobacco in the US)
oh ok thanks for letting me know sirk (i guess i could have done an internet search but meh….) it still raises the question why i haven’t screen any yellow margin yet

It’s a trap!

I hope that is your car, because if its not the owner will not have a hard time figuring out who doodled on his car.
FUN FACT: In the US drawing on a car(even in dirt or snow) is considered auto vandalism and is a misdemeanor.

Yeah and the number of people who know this fact and would prosecute it is rather insignificant if you think about it.
Should be glad that it’s not Kilroy. Or a penis.

This website provides more examples http://www.stupidlaws.com/ but is full of mistakes.

For example why did they bother to enforce the Dildo law(which is apparently a felony) in Texas, which was written by mindless religious Zealots.
http://www.metafilter.com/21799/Dildos-illegal-in-Texas
But they don’t bother to enforce the law that states that flying of the “rebel” flag is a act of treason against the United States.
Why has no one nuked this stupid county of the face of the map yet? Do the world a favor.

Relax, it’s the same all over the world.

I’ve seen it. I think most remain uncolored by habit.
