I just spent a very pleasant and easy hour and a half watching this very interesting documentary and drinking a cup of coffee… not at all how I was expecting to spend this morning. A nice surprise.
@Sirk: It’s funny how we hear a lot of these songs almost everyday in some capacity, be it TV shows, web cartoons, video games, grocery stores, etc., and never really noticed. Most times, easy listening suffers the same problem as trance/ambient… it’s cool mood music (no pun intended), but you have NO idea who/what you’re listening to unless you’re a very hardcore fan, and it makes looking something up a bit difficult.
@shaun: I feel for you, man. No one should have to endure that at work. That’s how post offices get shot up.
Even worse is when you hear a song you like, but it’s simply impossible to find online because it’s being played on net radio from a vinyl the DJ found at a garage sale.

It’s all about chords and melody, dude!
(I wish people who do music these days always remembered that)

Interesting to note: the stock footage of the 50′s era contains a lot of confused looking pedestrians.

Good. I thought I’d be the only one to care.

As someone who has to listen to country music at work all day, I deeply appreciate this.
