Apparently the Syrian’s secret police prison, called the Palestine Branch, is near the Sheraton in west Damascus, but for some reason Google Street View wasn’t allowed in Syrian. a_a So this torture hotel might not be an accurate representation. e_e
Also, as far as we know, the CIA doesn’t actually work from there. They just transfer prisoners.

I’ve often wondered how and why the american government work with Syria when they accuse them to be part of the “axis of evil”….

Technically, they just release prisoners or suspects to the Syrians and then it’s the Syrian’s choice to release or not the intel they’ve gathered. That’s what happened to Maher Arar. But yeah, it’s hypocritical.
